Bujaruelo Valley is an extraordinary natural value valley, where the Ara river is born and bordering the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park. It is the livestock place par excellence in Broto Valley and we can find important cattle herds. In the meadow of San Nicolás is located the Romanesque bridge and the ruins of the Church and the old Hospital, built in 1550 by the Order of the Hospitallers.

Bujaruelo is the starting point of many excursions and stands out the precious Otal valley, the Ordiso Valley, the headwaters of the Ara River and the Vignemale massif. The Vignemale is the highest peak of the French Pyrenees with 3298 metres and has one of the most important glaciers in the Pyrenees

Crossing San Nicolás bridge you can ascend to the famous Roland’s Breach or visit the small lake of Bernatuara, one of the most beautiful in the Pyrenees. You can also cross the border through Bujaruelo port and arrive to the French valley of Gavarnie, which has an impressive glacial cirque and the highest waterfall in Europe with 400 metres.
